There are few heavy metal bands that have reached such heights as Judas Priest during their more than 50-year career. The band, which entered the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022, maintains incredible energy and relevance even after half a century on the scene. The proof is not only their best-selling album of their career, Firepower (2018), but also the recent global success of their latest record, Invincible Shield (2024) and their fresh, fifth Grammy nomination (2025) for the song "Crown of Horns". The Keepers of the Faith are Back The title of the FAITHKEEPERS 2026 tour is no coincidence. It refers to the loyalty of their fans and the band's unwavering commitment to the genre they created.
Judas Priest, who formed in 1969 in Birmingham, have forever written themselves into the history of music not only with their sound, but also with their visuals. It was they who, in the era of albums like Hell Bent for Leather, introduced the iconic combination of leather and metal rivets into metal culture, which was subsequently adopted by metalheads around the world. Slovak fans can look forward to a show full of the biggest hits that defined the 80s, such as Breaking the Law, Living After Midnight or You've Got Another Thing Coming, but also an uncompromising sonic whirlwind from the Painkiller era. Unstoppable force Although the band has celebrated 50 years on the scene, they are not going to slow down. The band will perform in a lineup with metal god Rob Halford behind the microphone, bassist Ian Hill, drummer Scott Travis and guitarists Richie Faulkner and Andy Sneap, who replaces Glenn Tipton on stage.
The legendary Glenn Tipton usually joins the band during encores, as long as his health allows. After successfully overcoming the pandemic and Richie Faulkner's health problems, the band has returned stronger than ever, which is confirmed by sold-out concerts around the world. The concert in Bratislava will be a celebration of classic heavy metal in its purest form. As the band states:
"Judas Priest is still bringing heavy metal to the world – and there's no end in sight!"
